Ron Green – Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Green’s early contributions to the founding of Liberty in 1984 are best described in terms of his vision, his tenacity and his perseverance to survive and succeed.
This legendary drive to develop and perpetuate Liberty was based on his simple belief in his talents to meet or exceed customer needs, and always with world class service and quality.
Mr. Green founded Liberty as a supplier of plastic and stainless steel ball bearings to the photo and motion picture industries. In his role as CEO, Mr. Green provided customers with the best possible quality and service. As the industry evolved, demanding flexibility in the market, Liberty’s product range gradually grew to include more than 8,000 different products. Today, across America, Liberty proudly serves over 33,000 retail customers, a distribution platform that serves many of America’s top national and regional retailers.
Mr. Green has established and refined an organization over the years that have met each market challenge head on. He has insured the Company’s drive for future excellence is well positioned. To insure quality and value requirements, he established a strategic cooperation arrangement in China. Mr. Green is supported by a young, competent and results oriented management team.
Garry Green – President
Mr. Green has served the Company with a high level of energy and outstanding performance since 1993. He gradually was promoted to Director of Marketing, Vice President of Sales and Marketing and to the position of President of the company in 2006.
Among Mr. Green’s outstanding achievements as President are initiating and developing a revised corporate roadmap to reposition the Company in a highly competitive environment and drive new objectives throughout the entire organization. He enhanced Liberty’s long time commitment to excellence by managing the process that resulted in the asset purchase of two mid-west competitors, Minilab Supply Store (Minneapolis) and Technotape (Chicago), and finalized a multiyear distribution agreement with Kodak, which resulted in 50% sales growth in 2008. In 2011, under his leadership, launched ivoke, a cutting-edge start-up division in the growing personalization space.
Mr. Green holds a bachelor of science in business administration with a marketing emphasis, and a minor in French, from the University of San Diego. He is a board member of the Orange County Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization.
Dan Foy – Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Foy joined Liberty in March 2001 as Chief Financial Officer, and during his tenure, he has presided over revenue growth of nearly 300%. Mr. Foy is responsible for company wide Financial and Administrative operations, including Human Resources, IT, Quality and Warehousing. He led the 2006 implementation of a new enterprise resource planning system, and led the Company negotiation and integration team in the 2007 acquisition of a competitor. Moreover, he managed the recent warehousing expansion and I.T. infrastructure expansion as part of the Kodak distribution agreement.
Mr. Foy holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach and a master of business administration from the University of California, Irvine. Prior to joining Liberty, he held several senior-level financial positions, including Wyle Electronics and Elite Information Systems.
Julie Swink – Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing
During Ms. Swink’s 14 year tenure, Liberty has earned a national industry-leading position as a provider of photo imaging equipment and supplies to mass pharmacy, grocery retail outlets and professional and independent labs. Since joining Liberty in 1997, Ms. Swink has been instrumental in the company’s growth, exceeding 450%.
Ms Swink launched the company’s retail on-site fulfillment (minilab) division in 1998, which at the time amounted to minimal annual sales and growing the business, which ultimately represented 90% of the company’s annual revenue. Ms. Swink manages Liberty’s sales and marketing and is a dedicated professional who has earned prominence in the industry. Ms. Swink holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies with a minor in business commerce, from California State University, Fullerton.
Dan Thomas – VP Logistics and Fulfillment
Mr. Thomas joined Liberty is November 2009 as part of the Technotape USA integration team. Mr. Thomas brought to Liberty 35 years of photo industry experience in Quality Assurance and Operations. He is responsible for company wide Logistics and growing Fulfillment into a quality conscience operation to better serve our customers.
Mr. Thomas holds an associates degree in Electronic Engineering from ITT Technical Institute. Prior to joining Liberty he held the position of President of Technotape USA and several senior level positions in operations and quality assurance at Qualex, division of Kodak and Guardian Photo.
